Insan Organization Releases First Comprehensive Report Documenting Crimes of the Tripartite Aggression on Yemen

Press Conference | 03-05-2025

On Saturday, the "Insan for Rights and Freedoms" organization launched its human rights report titled "The Tripartite Aggression on Yemen in the Time of the Deluge", documenting the crimes committed by the U.S., U.K., and Israel against Yemen from January 2024 to January 2025.

The report highlights over 1,000 airstrikes and naval attacks targeting civilian areas using internationally banned weapons, resulting in the deaths of 116 civilians and injuries to 366 others, the majority of whom were women and children.

The report details the systematic targeting of vital civilian infrastructure, including Sana'a International Airport, the Haziz and Dhahban power stations, and the Port of Hodeidah, in addition to residential homes. These attacks have displaced hundreds of families and worsened the already dire humanitarian situation in the country.

The organization held the tripartite coalition legally and criminally responsible for these violations, which amount to grave war crimes under international humanitarian law. It called for an independent international investigation, accountability for those responsible, compensation for victims, reconstruction of destroyed infrastructure, and pressure on the United Nations to impose sanctions on the aggressor states and ensure the unimpeded flow of humanitarian aid.

The report reaffirmed the legitimacy of Yemen’s stance in supporting the Palestinian people and rejecting the blockade imposed on Gaza. It emphasized the need to respect Yemeni sovereignty and halt repeated violations of its territory.

During the launch event, Ali Taysir, Head of the Human Rights Sector at the Ministry of Justice and Human Rights, praised Insan's efforts, considering the report a significant step toward exposing the reality of the tripartite aggression to the international community. He also underscored the historical depth and entrenched role of the U.S., the U.K., and Israel in the aggression against Yemen.

Taysir pointed out that this aggression is part of ongoing attempts to break Yemen’s steadfast support for the Palestinian cause, particularly in light of the genocide being committed in Gaza by Israel with U.S. support and suspicious international silence.

He noted that this military escalation is a continuation of the aggression that began in 2015, placing the United States as the primary party responsible for the crimes and violations committed against the Yemeni people.

In recorded statements, Australian activist Tim Anderson and British activist Stephen Bell expressed their full solidarity with the Yemeni people, asserting that the attacks constitute a blatant violation of international and humanitarian law.

They emphasized that Yemen’s stance in support of Gaza embodies the true humanitarian values enshrined in international law, while the U.S.-British aggression on Yemen reveals objectives beyond the military scope—chief among them being the undermining of Yemen’s economic infrastructure and the continued unconditional support for Israel in committing further crimes against Palestinians.

For her part, Amal Al-Makhadhi, Vice President of Insan Organization, reviewed the steps taken in monitoring, documentation, and preparation of this detailed report.

She explained that the tripartite aggression on Yemen, which began in January 2024 under the pretext of protecting international navigation, is in fact a move to support the Israeli occupation in its war on Gaza and to silence Yemen’s pro-Palestine position after the international community, led by the Security Council, remained silent on Israel’s ongoing crimes.

The event witnessed significant attendance from local and international media representatives, who covered the proceedings and documented the presentation—reflecting growing interest in highlighting the violations against the Yemeni people and conveying the truth to global public opinion.
