The United States has escalated its aerial attacks on Yemen’s Al-Hodeidah Governorate, launching a series of airstrikes targeting key industrial and production facilities.
Local sources reported that U.S. warplanes carried out multiple strikes on the Al-Habashi Iron Factory in the Al-Salif District, leading to its complete destruction. The attack caused severe material losses and deprived dozens of workers of their only source of income.
Earlier, American airstrikes targeted a cotton factory in the Zabid District, resulting in its destruction and complete shutdown. The incident left hundreds of families facing an uncertain future after losing their jobs, amid worsening economic and living conditions.
These attacks have sparked widespread condemnation from human rights organizations, which stated that targeting industrial facilities constitutes a clear violation of international humanitarian law. The law prohibits attacks on civilian infrastructure and emphasizes the need to protect people’s sources of livelihood.
