The Insan Organization for Rights and Freedoms strongly condemns the decision taken by the U.S. administration to designate "Ansar Allah" as a foreign terrorist organization.
This decision is an unjustified step that negatively impacts the livelihood of the Yemeni people and exacerbates the internal conflict in Yemen.
The inclusion of Ansar Allah on this list further complicates the humanitarian situation in Yemen and intensifies the suffering of civilians amid the ongoing conflict.
This decision does not contribute to achieving peace or ending the ongoing war. Instead, it fuels the conflict between Yemeni parties and hinders efforts to reach a comprehensive political settlement that meets the aspirations of all Yemenis.
Furthermore, this designation limits the ability of international humanitarian organizations to operate effectively in Yemen. It complicates peace efforts led by the United Nations and undermines any hopes for building a stable and peaceful future for the Yemeni people.
We urge the international community to pressure the United States to revoke this decision, which does not serve the interests of the Yemeni people. We also call for constructive steps to halt hostilities, alleviate humanitarian suffering, and facilitate dialogue among all Yemeni parties as part of international efforts to achieve lasting peace in the region.
The Insan Organization for Rights and Freedoms believes that comprehensive dialogue and reconciliation among all Yemeni parties are the only ways to end the prolonged crisis caused by the military intervention led by Saudi Arabia and the UAE since 2015, and to achieve stability in Yemen and the entire region.
