The "Insan" Organization for Rights and Freedoms strongly condemns and expresses deep outrage over the Israeli Knesset’s vote on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, to approve a draft resolution aimed at imposing so-called "Israeli sovereignty" over the West Bank and the Jordan Valley. This aggressive move marks a serious escalation and a blatant violation of all international norms and laws, particularly the provisions of the Fourth Geneva Convention of 1949, which prohibits an occupying power from applying its own laws or making demographic or legal changes to occupied territories.

This act exposes the true nature of the Israeli colonial project, which seeks to impose control, expand settlements, and carry out systematic Judaization, all while disregarding international legitimacy — including UN Security Council Resolution 2334, which condemns settlement activities and calls for their immediate cessation.

"Insan" warns that this unlawful decision reinforces the cycle of ethnic cleansing and legitimizes crimes such as land confiscation, settlement expansion, home demolitions, and settler violence against Palestinians. These actions contribute to the collapse of the human rights system in the occupied territories and directly undermine the basic rights of civilians — including access to housing, freedom of movement, and essential health and education services — while entrenching a climate of systematic impunity.

The "Insan" Organization holds the occupying authorities fully responsible for the consequences of this dangerous escalation and affirms its support for the Palestinian people's right to defend their land and rights through all legitimate means of resistance under international law. The organization calls on all Palestinians to uphold national unity in the face of these racist policies.

We call upon the international community, the United Nations, and human rights bodies to assume their legal, moral, and historical responsibilities by taking urgent action to halt these policies, launch independent investigations, and hold the occupation’s leaders accountable for the crimes committed against a defenseless people struggling for freedom, dignity, and justice.

This continued blatant disregard for human rights and international conventions threatens the credibility of the global legal system and demands that the human conscience rise to confront this immoral challenge.
