Insan Organization for Rights and Freedoms is following with deep concern the announcement made by the Government Media Office in Gaza regarding the discovery of narcotic pills inside flour bags distributed from centers associated with U.S.-Israeli aid. This incident constitutes a dangerous precedent and a flagrant violation of humanitarian values and international law.

The inclusion of narcotics within food aid constitutes a dual crime that threatens public health and societal security. It amounts to a direct assault on the Palestinian social fabric and a malicious attempt to weaken the resilience of society through unconventional means, using humanitarian work as a cover to smuggle toxins.

In light of this condemnable incident, Insan Organization:

Strongly condemns this act, which represents a violation of the most basic humanitarian principles, and holds the Israeli occupation authorities fully responsible.

Calls for an urgent and transparent international investigation under the supervision of impartial bodies to hold those involved accountable and uncover the full circumstances of this crime.

Urges international organizations, especially the United Nations and the Red Cross, to monitor the flow of aid into the Gaza Strip and scrutinize its sources and contents.

Calls on Gaza residents to remain vigilant and to immediately report any suspicious materials found within aid packages to safeguard public safety.

The use of humanitarian aid as a tool to spread addiction represents a serious decline in the methods of targeting the Palestinian people, and demands a firm response from the international community and institutions of justice and human conscience.
