In a horrific massacre that bears no relation to religion, laws, customs, or humanity, the United States of America committed a crime in the early hours of Monday, April 28, 2025, by bombing a shelter housing irregular African migrants, which accommodated more than one hundred residents.
As of the time of writing this statement, the attack has resulted in the killing of 68 residents and the injury of 47 others, most of whom sustained very serious injuries.
The Insan Organization for Rights and Freedoms strongly condemns this heinous massacre, which has no military justification whatsoever and clearly demonstrates a deliberate targeting of civilians, their lives, and their property by the United States.
This massacre was not the only crime committed during the past twelve hours; American fighter jets also bombed civilian homes in Bani Al-Harith District, Qathban neighborhood, in Sana'a Governorate, causing the complete collapse of three houses on the heads of their residents, resulting in the death of eight individuals and numerous injuries, in addition to total and partial destruction of citizens' properties.
The Insan Organization for Rights and Freedoms calls upon international organizations, the United Nations, and the Refugee Agency to investigate this heinous crime, to condemn it, and to hold the United States fully accountable, demanding that it be prosecuted and punished.
It is important to note that the bombed shelter is supervised by the International Organization for Migration (IOM) and the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC).
