The Palestinian Journalists Protection Center (PJPC) has condemned the ongoing crimes committed by the Israeli occupation against journalists in the Gaza Strip.
In a statement issued by the center, it said: "Israel has started the new year by killing one Palestinian journalist every 24 hours."
The statement highlighted that the international community's failure to protect journalists reflects a lack of credibility and undermines its efforts to promote human rights and international principles.
It added that these crimes are taking place amid suspicious international silence and unconditional U.S. support for the Israeli occupation government, which encourages it to continue committing crimes against Palestinian civilians, including journalists.
The center strongly denounced these violations and called on the international community to take immediate action to stop these serious crimes. It also urged the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court to launch a comprehensive investigation into these crimes and hold those responsible accountable.
